Catwalk smartphone with aluminum case tipped for unveiling
An image reported to be of the Lumia 925 has appeared online, just one day before Nokia's London-based press event. The leaked photograph comes at the same time as Nokia starts to tease a new smartphone via advertisements on British TV, seemingly showing a device that could possibly be the long-rumored Lumia 'Catwalk.'
The advertisement, spotted by The Verge, shows a phone with a larger than normal flash and a camera with a large lens embedded into a large bump on the back. The physical design hinted at in the video seems to match previously-leaked images of the Catwalk device, and shots panning along the edge of the phone appear to give it a metallic appearance, also matching the rumored aluminum casing. The tagline of "More than your eyes can see," certainly draws attention to the camera.
The images leaked by @evleaks directly identifies the pictured phone as the Lumia 925, with the device in view appearing to show a metallic body. Unfortunately, the supplied image only shows a frontal view of the phone, which will not allow the direct comparison with the video in the same way as a side or back shot would.
It is possible that the new phone being revealed will be accompanied by another device. Rumors also suggest a mid-range WP8 device called the Lumia 625 could make an appearance, as well as the possible Nokia EOS smartphone with a 41-megapixel camera.
