Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong set for May Surface Pro launch
The Microsoft Surface Pro will start shipping in a number of other countries later this month, as part of the company's plans to expand its retail availability further than the US, Canada, and China. The United Kingdom will see the device appearing on store shelves on May 23, while a number of markets in Europe looking to get the slate computer on May 30.
By the end of the month, the Surface Pro will be available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. The 64GB model will be on sale in the UK for £719 ($1,094) and the 128GB version for £799 ($1,215), with other European countries likely to have similar prices. The Touch and Type Covers also make the transition across the Atlantic, at a cost of £99 ($150) and £109 ($165) respectively.
Other countries slated to receive the Surface Pro this month include Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Australia. It will also go on sale in Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand sometime in June.
