Aluminum casing with 10.1-inch Super IPS display used in Romanian tablet
Romanian hardware producer Evolio has unveiled a new Android tablet for the local market. The Quadra offers a large 10.1-inch, 1280x800 Super IPS display, with the device's name stemming from its use of a quad-core Cortex A9 CPU running at 1.2GHz, which a multi-core Vivante GC1000 GPU used for graphic-intensive tasks.
Inside the Android 4.1 tablet is 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, expandable by microSD, is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, according to Engadget. Though it does offer Wi-Fi connectivity, there is not an option for connecting over 3G without the aid of an external modem.
Complete with its aluminum casing, the Quadra is available to pre-order in the country for 999 Romanian leu ($300) ahead of its release in mid June. It is unlikely to go on sale in other markets.
