Google adds voice search to home page in Chrome update

Google has updated Chrome to enable voice search, among other additions. Chrome version 27 enables conversational search through the Google homepage, providing a clickable microphone to start it off, and then switching to a larger Google Now-style mic logo. The update, spotted by Searchengineland, also provides a new API for Chrome Store developers, 14 security fixes, and a 5-percent speed boost to page loads.

Amazon rolls out Cloud Drive to Canada, provides 5GB of free cloud storage

Amazon has extended its Cloud Drive service to Canada. The digital locker service, typically used for music and photo storage from desktop and mobile apps, offers Canadian customers the same 5GB free tier as users in the United States and other countries are able to use. Additional storage plans start from $10 per year for an extra 20GB.
