Combination devices can print from cloud storage, connect over Wi-Fi

Brother has rolled out a new range of digital color all-in-one devices aimed at small business users. The MFC-9000 series of printers all use a 3.7-inch color touchscreen display with WebConnect and offer Wi-Fi connectivity, with the MFC-9340CDW flagship model providing a print rate of 22 pages per minute for both mono and color documents.

The MFC-9130CW, the cheapest of the three models being unveiled, is capable of printing at up to 19 pages per minute, and uses Brother's LED print technology to create images at up to 600x2400 dpi. The touchscreen is able to connect to Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, Evernote, Dropbox, Skydrive, or a Box account to pull documents or images for printing, while its Wi-Fi connection allows users to print from a mobile device using AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, the Brother iPrint&Scan app, and Wi-Fi direct. It also has a 35-page auto document feeder, and a deep sleep mode that uses less than two Watts when not in use.

Adding to the base model, the MFC-9330CDW can print at up to 23 pages per minute, with automatic duplex printing also available. It provides an extra Ethernet interface, and can print from and save files to a USB flash drive. The MFC-9340CDW adds in single-pass duplex scanning and copying, with automatic duplex printing, copying, scanning, and faxing.

The MFC-9000 range is available now, with the MFC-9130CW priced at $400, while both the MFC-9330CDW and the MFC-9340CDW have a street price of $450.
