Rear camera boosted to 8MP, front to 5MP, same Hass processor
The price of the impending Huawei Ascend P6 has reportedly leaked, weeks before a launch event expected to occur on June 18th in London. The Ascend P6, complete with its metallic casing and 6.3mm (0.25-inch) thickness, is claimed will cost 1999 Yuan ($330) at launch, though it appears to be marginally thicker than the 6.18mm (0.24-inch) that was previously rumored.
A report by Sina.com states that three versions of the Ascend P6 has been submitted to the Chinese authorities to gain licenses, though it is not clear if the three editions are for the three different colors shown last week, or if there are changes to the hardware in order to function on different networks. Other hardware, such as the 4.7-inch 720p HD display, the quad-core Hass 1.5GHz processor with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, remains the same, but it is now said to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing version, an update from the 5-megapixel rear-facing sensor leaked earlier.
More concrete details, such as its release date and launch markets, will probably be provided on or after the launch event next month.
