Huawei Ascend W2 Windows Phone smartphone claimed out this year
An image said to be a new Windows Phone from Huawei has appeared online, shown running Windows Phone 8. The Ascend W2, rumored last month but with a different press render, comes one day after Huawei started selling the Ascend W1, rebranded Huawei W1, through Walmart stores in the United States.
The new image from evleaks is accompanied by the suggestion that it will come out sometime this year. The previous report of the device rumor showed a phone with a curved base edge, while the new image is more flat and dispenses with the "lip" on the top edge around the earpiece.
One previous rumor suggests the Ascend W2 would have a 4.3-inch 720p IPS display, a rear 8MP camera, 2,000mAh battery, and connectivity over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA, and HSPA+. Others suggest it to have a 4.5-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 2,800mAh battery. Suggested prices range between $290 and $520, depending on the individual rumor.
