One monitoring console allows for cross-platform employee observation

User activity monitoring solutions provider SpectorSoft Corporation today announced availability of Spector CNE Investigator 7.5, providing user activity monitoring for the Mac OS. Using the new OS X version, organizations will be able to implement employee monitoring and conduct targeted forensic investigations by remotely deploying and installing CNE Investigator on corporate-issued Mac computers. Spector CNE Investigator is able to send notifications of inappropriate computer use directly to IT security email accounts, providing organizations with evidence that exposes insider threats to the company.

With Spector CNE Investigator, the enterprise can gain a comprehensive view of all corporate-issued PCs and laptops, regardless of operating system, and identify which employees are being productive and compliant with company policies, and which are engaging in risky behaviors. The complete package allows administrators to view the time of day and amount of time spent on every application launched, viewing of email records including any sent by secure mailboxes, specific keystroke recording, recording of both sides of chat conversations, a summary of all social media activity, monitoring of all file transfers, recording of visited URLs including names and tiles of websites and time visited, and search engine entry history. All employee activity is reviewable in a step-by-step video-style playback format of screen snapshots.

Licenses are available online ranging from three seats at $135 each ($405), to 25 seats at $115 each ($2,875). Larger packages are available by request.
