Site says Czech Republic could be in second round of iPhone launches
A Czech site claims it has obtained images of several parts for an upcoming iPhone 5S. Letem Světem Applem says these include a FaceTime camera, a Home button, and a vibration motor. Although the authenticity of the parts can't be verified, the site says they have country-specific serial numbers, which could mean that the Czech Republic will be included in the first major international wave of 5S launches, after an initial smaller wave concentrating on countries like the US, Canada, the UK, and Germany.
The Home button appears different from another one that emerged in March. The same leak also included a vibration motor though, one that is similar to the equivalent Letem Světem part. Both motors incorporate a dual-head design, instead of the counterweighted single head in the iPhone 5. An April report suggested that a dual-head component would be used in a low-cost iPhone.
Although supposed 5S and low-cost iPhone parts have been leaking for months, it's generally rumored that neither device will launch until sometime this fall. Next week's WWDC keynote is instead expected to focus on OS X 10.9, iOS 7, updated Macs, and a streaming radio service.
