F.R.E.Q.4D to provide 'actual physical sensation' to game audio

Mad Catz revealed four gaming headsets and a new keyboard at E3, alongside its earlier Project M.O.J.O. game console announcement. The Tritton Kunai Universal headset is designed for both consoles and PCs, the F.R.E.Q.4D, Tritton Pro+, and Tritton Kunai are meant just for computers, and the S.T.R.I.K.E 3 keyboard offers the feel of mechanical keys, and backlighting.

The Tritton Kunai for PC and Mac use 40mm Neodymium drivers, and provides an in-line remote for volume control, along with a striking design. The Universal version is effectively the same, except it also offers compatibility with consoles and mobile devices. The Tritton Pro+ uses four drivers per ear cup in order to provide 5.1 surround sound, and also includes Selectable Voice Monitoring, allowing the wearer to decide if they want to hear their own voice piped back into the headset.

The F.R.E.Q.4D, building upon previous versions and is made for Windows PC and smart devices, aims to produce an "actual physical sensation" to gaming audio. ViviTouch 4D Sound is claimed to combine "muscular bass with sensory feedback," though this can be adjusted via its multiple equalizer settings. The in-line cable can also be detached, allowing it to be used with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack instead of USB.

The S.T.R.I.K.E 3 Professional Gaming Keyboard has been made for players in competitions. While not a mechanical keyboard, the membrane key-bed is said to be designed to give the "full tactile feedback of mechanical keys" but with less noise and without needing to "bottom out" keys. It has a full RGB backlit key-bed, able to show up to 16 million colors, provides media controls, twelve macro keys with three separate modes of operation, and a removable wrist rest.

The Tritton Kunai Universal, Tritton Kunai, and Tritton Pro+ are slated for a release this summer, with the F.R.E.Q.4D and S.T.R.I.K.E 3 keyboard expected in the fall. Pricing has not been revealed.
