Retains 6.18mm thickness, 4.7-inch 720p display
The user interface for the Huawei Ascend P6 has allegedly leaked, along with an updated specifications list. The new Emotion UI, last seen by Electronista in the Ascend Mate, makes a reappearance with some slight tweaks that takes it a bit further away from stock Android, with the new leak appearing online just a week before the company's media event on the 18th of June.
The new specifications list from the evleaks Twitter account claims it has a 4.7-inch 720p display, with processing provided by an unnamed quad-core processor running at 1.5GHz. The rear camera is said to have an 8-megapixel BSI sensor, capable of a 4cm (1.5-inch) macro shot, while the front-facing version will have a 5-megapixel sensor and something called "face enhance."
The 6.18mm (0.24-inch) thickness of the metal-trimmed phone carries over from previous leaks, and is emphasized in a new trailer Huawei has released to promote the event. Though most of the clip is unrelated, involving a messenger free running around Paris and London, it is inferred that the device to be launched at the event fits into a slimline metal container.
