Quantities of red Oppo handset unknown
Chinese manufacturer Oppo appears ready to release a red variant of its Find 5 flagship smartphone. The red edition showed up on a Chinese tech news site on Friday, but details on its availability remain scarce. Reports hold that the red Find 5 will be a limited edition device with no set release date.
Since revealing the device in December, Oppo has been more aggressive than usual in making the Find 5 available worldwide. Typically, the company's handsets are harder to get outside of China, but the past months have seen Oppo rolling out the phone across Europe. It is also compatible with AT*T, T-Mobile, and Simple Mobile's 3G networks.
The standard white version of the handset is available unlocked and contract free. The Find 5 has a 5-inch, 1080x1920 Full HD display with a pixel density of 441ppi. Inside, it has a Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 16GB of storage, and 2GB of RAM. [via Engadget]
