Leaked pictures show hinged rear display, Wi-Fi connectivity
Fujifilm may be launching a new compact camera with retro styling in the next few weeks, according to a rumor. Leaked images of the X-M1 shows a compact camera with interchangeable lenses, with the general fake leather and brushed metal appearance sharing the same style of the mirrorless X-E1, launched last year.
The photographs from Digicame Info shows a rear LCD in lieu of a viewfinder, complete with a hinged, tilting motion, but retains the pop-up flash and a hotshoe. A marking for Wi-Fi settings appears on the top of the body, along with a pared-down set of options on the controls to a mode selector and scroll wheel that suggests it as nearer to an entry-level model than a mid-ranged offering.
While there is no mention from Fujifilm about its release, it is suggested by Fuji Rimors to be revealed on June 25th and will cost around $600 for the body alone.
