Google Glass updated; web browser, more voice commands implemented

New patch latest in monthly series to enhance, secure device

Google's wearable Google Glass device has a new update available. The new firmware and software revision adds more hands-free voice commands, an improved web browser, bug fixes, and assorted security fixes. The new revision will be available to all users "over the next couple days" according to the Google blog post announcing the patch.

The biggest change to the device is the new web browser. Instead of a single "card" available for web data, it is now possible to access entire websites using touchpad controls and user's head movement to navigate. The update is the latest in the monthly series of fixes to the new device. Last month's patch focused on camera functionality.
