Texas, Mississippi, Virgin Islands among improved regions
AT&T has expanded its LTE 4G coverage to 35 new towns and cities, according to an announcement. The rollout is spread across a wide number of states, including Texas, Florida, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Washington, California, Missouri, New York, Minnesota, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, North and South Carolina, Mississippi, and New Jersey. Some notable cities include Cape Cod, Atlantic City, and Lafayette.
Also new are two locations in the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas and St. Croix. AT&T is aiming for a total of 79 new markets by the end of the summer. The carrier faces stiff competition from Verizon however, which started with a larger LTE network and is still expanding.
