updated 11:24 am EDT, Thu July 4, 2013

Vast majority of Macintosh catalog for sale for one day

Classic game purveyor Good Old Games is wrapping up its NoDRM Summer Sale with nearly 500 games at up to a 50 percent discount individually, or up to 75 percent when an entire collection of games is purchased. Nearly the entire Macintosh game catalog of roughly 164 games is available at a reduced price.

The games are a mix of custom DOSBox wrappers and native code, depending on the age of the software. GOG representatives have announced support for OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and greater on Intel-based Macs. System specifications vary per title.

The sale finale focuses on collections of like-themed games grouped by genre or manufacturer. Not all games are Macintosh compatible, but a large number are, such as Alpha Centauri, FTL, and Hotline: Miami, amongst others. The sale ends at 9AM EST July 5.
