White Google Nexus 4 removed from sale on Google Play Store

Limited-edition white smartphone still on sale at T-Mobile

Google has stopped sales of its white Nexus 4 smartphone on the Google Play Store. The limited-edition Android device sold out earlier this week in the 8GB version with the larger 16GB model selling out over the weekend, with text on the sales page stating that the phones are "no longer available for sale" in the United States.

The Google Play Store listing for devices now shows just the normal black versions of the Nexus 4, with the white models removed from view entirely. Google later confirmed the removal to Android Police, releasing the statement "The Limited Edition White Nexus 8GB and 16GB are sold out on Google Play."

Despite the removal of some Nexus 4 products, it does not mean that Google is winding down the entire line ahead of the anticipated Nexus 5, as the three black Nexus 4 listings are still showing "In Stock" with fast shipping times.

T-Mobile, a second stockist of the white smartphone in the US, is still selling the limited-edition Nexus 4.
