Nokia adding support for Bluetooth Low Energy to Lumia 520, 620, 720

Nokia has revealed it will be bringing Bluetooth 4.0 with Low Energy support to a number of Lumia smartphones. BlogJack reports that the addition will be brought to the Lumia 520, Lumia 620, and Lumia 720, which will make the phones use a new standard for communicating with fitness monitors and other similar devices. The timing of the release, as well as if it will be added to the Lumia 900-series, remains unknown, but more could be revealed during a media event on Thursday.

MetroPCS puts Samsung Galaxy S4 on sale for $549 in select markets


MetroPCS is launching the Samsung Galaxy S4 on its network, as previously teased, and will work on the carrier's 4G LTE network. The flagship Samsung smartphone will be going on sale in select markets for $549 without a contract, as MetroPCS does not currently offer such commitments. Other markets to receive the device on the network, along with online availability, will be announced in the future.
