Galaxy Tab 3 range appear in stores, Amazon, after pre-order period
Samsung has put its portfolio of Galaxy Tab 3 tablets on sale in the United States. The previously-announced Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 are all available to buy in stores, as well as through Amazon and Samsung itself, with both white and 'golden brown' color options popping up in retailer listings.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 uses a seven-inch 1024x600 display, and houses a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. A rear-mounted three-megapixel camera and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel counterpart are included, along with Wi-Fi Channel Bonding on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 connection support, Android 4.1, and a 4,000mAh battery.
The middle-sized Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 with Android 4.2 uses a slightly higher-resolution 1280x800 display, and opts for a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM, and options for 16GB or 32GB of expandable storage. The back camera is upgraded to a five-megapixel version, the front version is the same 1.3MP model used in the seven-inch tablet, and while it has similar connection options to the 7.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE-connectivity make an appearance instead.
The largest tablet of the group, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, also has the fastest processor, a dual-core model running at 1.6GHz with 1GB of RAM. The cameras are the same as the Tab 3 7.0, while connectivity and software matches that of the Tab 3 8.0, though its power supply is a much beefier 6,800mAh.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will cost $200, while the Tab 3 8.0 sells for $300, and the Tab 3 10.1 for $400.
