AT&T to hold event for 'what's next in wireless' on July 16th
AT&T has teased that it will be launching something on July 16th at a special event. An e-mail sent to media asking to "Get ready for what's next in wireless," and while it provides little in the way of clues as to what it could be for, Slashgear suggests it could be the launch of a number of smartphones and other mobile devices on the carrier, such as the new Nokia Lumia phone with a 41-megapixel camera expected to be revealed by the manufacturer tomorrow.
Huawei Ascend Mate heading to Vodafone UK before end of July
The Huawei Ascend Mate will be going on sale in the United Kingdom before the end of this month. British carrier Vodafone will sell the phablet with the 6.1-inch display and eight-megapixel rear camera, but an exact date and price for the handset were not revealed. Electronista found the Ascend Mate to be a decent compromise between a tablet and smartphone, and while it did seem to have a few rough edges and have an awkward physical size, its audio and 4,050mAh battery were well received.
