Google adds Offline Maps option to Google Maps for Android following complaints

Google has updated the Android version of Google Maps to re-enable offline maps, following complaints. The feature, removed from general view in the app yesterday, was still available to use through typing "OK maps" into the search box, but the revised release of the apps introduces a new button to "Make this map area available offline," as well as a link to explain the removal of Latitude.

Amazon adds hundreds of Miramax films to Prime Instant Video roster

Amazon has signed a deal with Miramax to add a number of well-known films to its Prime Instant Video library. The new additions to the free roster for Amazon Prime subscribers includes Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting, Life is Beautiful, and Amelie, which are available to stream from today, with hundreds more set to be brought onto the service in the future.
