Notion Ink Adam II press shots leaked, shows stylus support

The sequel to the first Android tablet to feature a low-power Pixel Qi display has had its images leaked out ahead of its launch. The new Notion Ink Adam II has previously been detailed in terms of its specifications only, but had not been pictured. A (since pulled) page on Behance has revealed a whole range of promotional photos for the device including its accessories including a dock and custom covers for the new tablet.

The next-generation of the Adam, takes on a more square and flat design, rather than the ergonomic curves that were applied to the original Adam with the specific purpose of reducing stress on a user's wrist when holding it. It will continue with a 10.1-inch display, although this time around, it will utilize a traditional LCD panel with IPS tech for a 178-degree viewing angle. The images also reveal that the Adam II will support input from a stylus.

The Adam II was originally due to ship with a TI OMAP dual-core processor, however since then, Texas Instruments has revealed that it is transitioning out of the ARM-based mobile chip space. Regardless, the Adam II is still expected to ship with a chip clocked at 1.5GHz with the slightly older Cortex-A9 architecture and paired with 1GB of RAM. It will also run Android 4.2.2, although whether it continues to be heavily customized as the original Adam Eve OS, will remain to be seen. [via Slashgear]
