Optical version of Kone Pure gaming mouse now available

Roccat has announced the launch of an optical version of its Kone Pure gaming mouse, as well as a reissue of its Sense mousepad. The Kone Pure Optical retains the design and ergonomic shape of the original Kone Pure, but exchanges the laser sensor for an LED optical sensor that maxes out at 4000 DPI. The Pro-Optic sensor is fully adjustable with a max DPI setting of 4,000. Meanwhile, the reissued Sense mousepad is the same 400 x 280mm pad, but now features a new Meteor Blue design. Both products are available from Roccat's website with the Kone Pure Optical retailing for $70 and the Sense Meteor selling for $20.

SmartOffice PS456U offers scanning speeds of up to 80 pages per minute

The SmartOffice PS456U, an 80 page-per-minute duplex-color document scanner, has been announced by Plustek. Offering high-speed scanning, the new device features a 100 page auto document feeder and can support documents of various sizes. Along with standard paper documents, the SmartOffice PS456U also can be used to scan plastic cards, licenses, and business cards. The Plustek SmartOffice PS456U can be purchased from authorized Plustek resellers for $850.
