Sony SHAKE-5 delivers ear-crushing 2400W RMS of audio power
Sony has launched the SHAKE-5 home audio system. The new device is the successor to the 2000W RMS DJ SHAKE sound system that is currently listed as 'out of stock' on the Sony website. The new model ratchets up the sound to a massive 2400W RMS, which combined with its 20+ multi-LED lighting system, will help to make it a hit at dance parties.
As with numerous Sony consumer devices launched this year, the SHAKE-5 will launch with NFC for one-touch pairing over Bluetooth with NFC-enabled smartphones. In its implementation here, the technology will allow partygoers to share their playlists with friends by touching their device to the SHAKE-5. Additionally, the SHAKE-5 has two USB ports, one for connecting a device, the other for recording music from a variety of sources to another USB-enabled device. It also includes a DJ Effect, allowing users to create their own remixes with for types of mixing effects including Flanger, Isolater, Sound Flash and Phaser.
The Sony SHAKE-5 will ship from the middle of August for $999.
