Leather-clad Z10 shares design cues with P'9981 smartphone
A remodelled version of the BlackBerry Z10 by Porsche Design has allegedly appeared online. Images reportedly showing the smartphone, complete with the Porsche Design logo at the top of the device, are accompanied by details suggesting it will have its own version of the BlackBerry 10 user interface, and a claimed price tag of $2,000.
The photographs taken by Tinhte appears to show the device as having a leather-style back cover and an aluminum frame on the front. This mimics some of the style of the P'9981, another Porsche Design BlackBerry smartphone that was a remodelled Bold 9900. That handset was priced at $2,000 at the time of its launch in 2011, and was being aimed towards wealthier users in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Porsche Design still sells the P'9981, though at a slightly reduced 1,475 euros ($1,947)
While the physical design on the outside has been shown off, it is not known if any internal specifications will have been changed at the same time. The Porsche Design device is said to be coming out in the middle of next year.
