Vu III claimed to use Snapdragon 800, reveal expected at IFA
LG could be preparing to reveal another mobile device next month, shortly after the launch of the LG G2. The electronics producer is planning to release the Vu III phablet complete with a 4:3 aspect ratio display, just like the original Optimus Vu and the Optimus Vu 2, thoug this time it will have a 5.2-inch, 1280x960 screen.
A report from Asiae states that it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, support LTE-Advanced networks and network speeds of up to 150Mbps, and have a 13-megapixel camera mounted on the rear. While the device is likely to be taking on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, it is unknown if it will be having a similar large-scale launch, since the earlier versions did not make much of an impact outside of South Korea.
It is said that LG will be releasing the Vu III in South Korea by the end of September, though a further-afield launch is unknown. LG is also believed to be revealing it during IFA in early September, the same time as Samsung will be revealing its own phablet.
