Google moves to push pop-up compose e-mail window to all Gmail users
Google is updating its e-mail composition interface for all users, removing the old version entirely and replacing it with a pop-up version. The new e-mail creation window, already used by a number of users for some weeks now and set to roll out to everyone over the next few days, takes the form of a pop-up window in the bottom right corner, which Google says allows for users to monitor their inbox while writing new messages, with the added option of a full-screen mode for more workspace.
Amazon adds sorting options, reading timer to Android Kindle app
Amazon has updated its Kindle reading app for Android. The new version adds the option to sort the library by title, author, and the most recently read, and a number of stability improvements, writes Engadget. The app will also keep track of reading speeds, and will estimate how much time it will take for the reader to get through the remainder of a chapter and the book in its entirety.
