Sprint to start exclusively selling red HTC One tomorrow

updated 12:51 pm EDT, Thu August 15, 2013

Buy-One, Get-One offer on Sprint HTC One for remainder of month

Sprint will be offering the HTC One in red as an exclusive for the carrier. The limited color version of the flagship HTC smartphone will be available to purchase from August 16th, and will be accompanied by a buy-one-get-one-free promotional offer for the mobile device, that is set to run from August 16th until August 30th.

The red version, initially available in the United Kingdom in June, is identical to the standard silver and black versions of the handset in terms of specification, with only the external coloring being different. The price remains the same as well, at $200 when bought on a two-year contract. The two-for-one offer launching at the same time will allow customers to pay for one HTC One and receive two, in any of the three colors available, though they would still sign up for a two-year contract for each phone.

Sprint also revealed it signed a deal with NextRadio to offer its interactive FM radio app with the HTC One and the HTC EVO 4G LTE. The free app allows users to view stations in their local area, send text messages or call the stations or shows that they are listening to, view song and station details, and to purchase currently-playing songs directly from the phone.
