Multitouch, gesture support, MHL connections in new Dell monitors

Dell has unveiled a new range of monitors with multitouch displays, following on from its existing S2240T touch display. The Dell 20 Touch Monitor, Dell 23 Touch Monitor, and Dell 27 Touch Monitor all have 10-point multitouch with gesture support in Windows 8, with the displays also offering a contrast ratio of 8 million to 1.

The Dell 20 (E2014T) houses a 19.5-inch display with a resolution of 1600x900 and a 2ms response time, and provides for connections over DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, and USB, as well as MHL for use with smartphones and tablets. The Dell 23 (P2314T) and Dell 27 (P2714T) Touch Monitors, measuring 23 and 27-inches respectively, boast a Full HD resolution with 178-degree vertical and horizontal viewing angles, and the same connectivity options as the smaller Dell 20. These also come supplied with an adjustable stand that can allow it to tilt up to 60 degrees for a more horizontal usage experience, and can be mounted to other monitor arms and wall fixings.

The Dell 20, 23, and 27 Touch Monitors are available in the US, Canada, and Latin America from today onwards for $250, $450, and $700 respectively. European and Asia-Pacific regions will see the larger displays on sale from September 18th, with the Dell 20 model arriving on September 26th.
