Displays for businesses, consumers with 4K resolutions on show
Samsung will be showcasing a pair of high-resolution monitors at the IFA 2013 tradeshow in Germany next month. A video wall measuring 98 inches and a 31.5-inch monitor from the company will appear at the event, with both sporting an Ultra HD resolution, the same as the display panels used in its flagship 85-inch S9 television.
The video wall, designed for marketing by businesses rather than home use according to the company blog, consists of three vertical panels with slim bezels instead of a single screen, presumably in order to keep the price down. The 31.5-inch monitor will apparently have user-managed color calibration options, and is said to support 99 percent of Adobe's RGB range, though Samsung has yet to reveal an image of the final display.
More details, such as pricing and other specifications, should be revealed when IFA begins on September 6th.
