Liquid S2 boasts 4K video recording on rear, 1080p video on front

Acer has revealed three new Android devices it will be showing off at IFA this week, alongside extra options for current tablets. The Iconia A3, complete with a 10.1-inch, 1280x800 IPS LED display, is accompanied by a 24-inch all-in-one for desktops, the 6-inch Liquid S2 smartphone, and new color choices for the Iconia A1 and Iconia B1 tablets.

The Iconia A3 is powered by a quad-core Cortex A7 processor running at 1.2GHz, according to Engadget, with expandable storage options of 16GB and 32GB available to choose from. Said to provide up to 9 hours of video playback, the tablet uses Android 4.2, and houses a 5-megapixel camera on the rear. Acer will be launching the Wi-Fi version in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in early October for 249 euro ($329), with the 3G version set for an early November launch for 299 euro ($395).

Continuing the line of Liquid smartphones, the Liquid S2 boasts a Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 1080p IPS display. The rear 13-megapixel camera offers 4K video recording, with the front-facing 2-megapixel version capable of 1080p video recording. Running on Android 4.2.2 and able to connect over 4G, Acer hopes to ship the Liquid S2 at the end of October, though has yet to price the device.

The DA241HL all-in-one device is an Android 4.2-powered system with a 24-inch, Full HD touchscreen display. Running on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, the device is said to offer a similar interface and experience to that of Android smartphones and tablets, can be used by a smartphone over MHL as a larger display, and thanks to its HDMI and USB connection, can connect to a Windows 8 PC and be used as a 2-point touch display. Acer will ship the DA241HL in mid-October from 429 euro ($567).

The Acer Iconia A1 and B1 will receive updated color options, with both offering a choice of white, smoky gray, and ivory gold, and the Iconia B1 adding oceanic blue and vermilion red to the color list.
