New Xbox supports eight controllers
Microsoft has confirmed that its upcoming Xbox One console will support simultaneous input from up to eight controllers. The move effectively doubles the potential player count, as the Xbox 360 is only configured to handle four controllers in any game, though game developers have yet to demonstrate how they might include so many players in a game experience geared for a single display.
No external hard-drive support at launch
Microsoft previously noted that the Xbox One will support external hard drives, however the company's official 'Major Nelson' spokesman admitted that the feature will not be available at launch, according to quotes posted by Joystiq. Support is "definitely on the list" of future features, taking advantage of the USB ports available on the console, though a time-frame for such support has yet to be announced.
