HTC sells stake in Saffron Digital

HTC has announced that it is selling off its 100-percent stake in Saffron Digital, which had been acquired in 2011. The division had specialized in mobile multimedia delivery, suggesting HTC was working on its own video delivery service. HTC is selling Saffron for $47 million, taking a slight hit compared to its original purchase price.

Nokia Lumia 1520 surfaces in new image leak

Nokia's rumored Lumia 1520, also referred to as the "Bandit," has surfaced in a leaked rendering, which was posted in an Evleaks tweet spotted by TheVerge. The device is expected to offer a five-inch display, potentially one of the first Windows Phone handsets to step up to 1920x1080 resolution. Rumors suggest the phone is slated for a November launch in the US.
