New color variant showing up in retail locations
Color-conscious fans of the HTC one may want to make their way to the local Best Buy outlet, as the big box retailer is now carrying a blue, Verizon-branded variant of the celebrated handset. A tipster pointed Engadget toward images of the device, showing the unibody aluminum construction with an electric blue hue. The blue variant hit Best Buy stores and Verizon retail locations on Friday.
Reportedly, the device will retail for $700, though it very likely has a number of discounts if a customer signs a contract. In addition to Verizon, Sprint is also getting the blue HTC One model. That unit is expected to launch on Sprint on September 10.
News of the color variant first emerged earlier in August. Reportedly, the accent stripes on the back of the blue model are painted on. In addition to Blue, the HTC One is available in black, white, and red.
