Nokia Lumia 1520 gets new photo leak ahead of launch

The forthcoming Nokia Lumia 1520 'Bandit' Windows Phone 8 phablet has had the clearest pictures of it leaked yet. The 6-inch device will ship with the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 on board which brings with it both 1080p support and support for quad-core processors for the first time. The device has been pictured in photos next to the recently announced Sony Xperia Z1 5-inch smartphone to give a better sense of how much bigger it is than previous Windows Phone 8 devices.

Following the acquisition of Nokia's devices and services portfolios, the Lumia 1520 could be one of the last smartphones to carry Nokia branding. If it is, the Lumia 1520 could help the Finnish company go out on a high note with its high-end specs. In addition to the 1080p display, the device will pack Qualcomm's vaunted Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM and come with 32GB of onboard storage as well as support for microSD cards.
