Twitter-generated playlists available from within streaming music apps directly
Twitter has expanded the reach of its #music service, with two music streaming companies adding it directly into their apps. Spotify and Rdio both offer the option to view playlists generated by Twitter #music, with the additions being the first time Twitter #music has appeared in apps other than its own iOS version, and the website.
The two additions work relatively similarly, with overall popular songs and the #NowPlayling listing as well as genre playlists viewable on both editions. Users can view all 15 of the playlists viewable on the #music page but from within the apps, though The Next Web writes that the Spotify version appears to be better integrated with the app, despite offering similar functionality.
Both Spotify and Rdio have experience with Twitter #music, as they have been offered to users as ways to listen to music in playlists generated on the Twitter #music main site itself.
