BlackBerry aiming for the large handset market with new 5-inch Z30

The BlackBerry Z30 is expected to launch in Malaysia next week, reports Pocket-lint. The new 720p 5-inch device, also known by its A10 codename, is also expected to reach India and France next week followed by a US launch two to three weeks later. The rumor aligns with BlackBerry special events scheduled for September 18 in each of the named countries.

The BlackBerry Z30 runs the struggling Canadian company's BlackBerry 10 OS, running version 10.2.0.1442 out of the box. Its display uses Super AMOLED technology, while it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz matched with 1GB of RAM. On board storage is said to offer 16GB of space minus the OS, though this can be supplemented by a microSD card. It also sports an 8-megapixel camera and Qi wireless charging.
