Alleged Kindle Fire render leaks, launch happening soon?

New Kindle Fire render lacks webcam shown in earlier photographs

An image showing the possible new Kindle Fire has surfaced, this time in what appears to be a promotional render. The new image gives a clear view of the front face of the alleged Amazon tablet refresh, and follows earlier leaked photographs which showed the chiseled, angular nature of the back and side edges on the Kindle Fire HD.

The leaked shot from the @evleaks Twitter account just shows the tablet accompanied by the words "Another upcoming Kindle," suggesting that this is a non-HD tablet refresh, rather than one of the expected Kindle Fire HD versions. The larger icons on the display also hint at a lower resolution, and the front-facing webcam seen in the earlier images appears to be notably absent.

It is thought that Amazon will be launching the tablets in the next few weeks, with an event likely to take place towards the end of this month.
