Space gray option to be dominant in most outlets
Carriers and US retailers will have little to no gold or white/silver versions of the iPhone 5s in stores for tomorrow's launch, chain sources say. All of the units in stock at the moment are said to be "space gray," despite the gold option being one of the 5s' selling points. Warehouses are reportedly getting in a few white units, but even fewer gold ones, and in neither case are the numbers enough for a wide rollout.
It's expected that at best, some high-profile third-party stores will have white and gold phones on-hand. Everyone else wanting one of those colors will either have to venture to an Apple Store or order online.
The 5s is already available in some eastern countries, but seeing shipping delays. In Europe, O2 UK has said it won't have any units in stores on Friday, and is instead encouraging people to place orders online or by phone.
