Two new models can adapt nearly any speaker for Bluetooth streaming
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless streaming vendor Grace Digital have introduced the GDI-BTAR122 (24 watt) and GDI-BTAR502 (100 watt) amplified wireless Bluetooth speaker adapters. Both Bluetooth wireless receivers boast an integrated amp, allowing for bookshelf, floor standing, or computer speakers to be connected and allow wireless audio streaming to them from any smartphone, tablet or Bluetooth-enabled device.
The receivers measure 4.9x5.9x1.3 inches, and feature a 2A USB charging port, equalization and balance, a metal housing, a long range external Bluetooth antenna, a remote control, and class D digital amps. Both models can power any standard bookshelf speakers, with the option of a line-out connection to powered speakers. Input impedance is 47 Kohms, with an input Input Sensitivity of 500mV. Frequency response is between 20 Hz and 20 KHz.
The low-power GDI-BTAR122 retails for $129. The 100W GDI-BTAR502 sells for $170.
