Promotional Twitter account repeats Motorola tablet hint

Motorola could be launching a new tablet on Verizon in the future, if rumors based on an advertisement are to be believed. The carrier's "The Drop" promotional video for its Motorola Droid device line hints at a possible tablet as the next item to be released in the range, something also seemingly confirmed by an associated Twitter account.

The video clip, consisting of a spy-thriller story that shows off the Droid smartphone's usefulness, at one point shows a large tablet-sized package in a container. Towards the end, a secret photography-styled image sequence focuses on the package, strongly suggesting that whatever is inside will be a future Verizon release. The DroidLanding Twitter account, a promotional account for Droid devices, has retweeted one of its followers suggestion that it is a tablet, another hefty hint according to Android Community.

Motorola has previously suggested that it is working on tablets, with CEO Dennis Woodside revealing earlier this month that the company is "taking some of the design cues, as well as technologies, from the Moto X and extending them into other form factors."
