BlackBerry smartphones in website sales supplied unlocked
BlackBerry is attempting to improve the sales of some of its smartphones by making them available directly. The manufacturer is selling the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 through its website, with the incoming BlackBerry Z30 also being seen at the FCC ahead of its expected release on networks in Canada in the near future.
The Z30, having already gone on sale in the United Kingdom, is shown in the FCC filing to have typical support for North American carriers, notes CrackBerry. Two versions of the same phone have appeared, complete with support for GSM/EDGE 850/1900, WCDMA/HSDPA bands and LTE bands usually associated with Canadian and US carriers, hinting that the region's release is happening in time for holiday shopping.
Both the Q10 and Z10 appear on the company's online store, also spotted by CrackBerry. The unlocked version of the Q10, in both black and white variants, are being sold for $549, while unlocked Z10 models in the same colors are priced at $449. It is not known if the Z30 will join alongside the Q10 and Z10 in being directly available from BlackBerry itself.
