Yoga tablet to shift weight internally to feign lightness
Lenovo will be hoping to build upon its IdeaPad Yoga product line by introducing a Yoga tablet, according to rumors. The convertible notebook line could be joined by a pure tablet sometime later this month, one which is apparently able to shift its center of gravity via some sort of internal mechanism, so that it can appear to be lighter to hold.
Sources of Ubergizmo suggest that Lenovo will call it the world's slimmest tablet, and will apparently also have the longest standby battery life of a tablet. It will also use an Intel Bay Trail processor, though the operating system and other internal specifications have yet to be revealed. Engadget reports that it will also have an extra supporting "leg" that will allow it to stand up by itself without the aid of a cover, though it is not clear if it will work in a similar manner to the Microsoft Surface line.
According to Lenovo Senior Vice President and head of China Chen Xudong, the Yoga tablet should launch in the next month.
