Bluetooth SIG notice suggests launch within next week
The upcoming Google Nexus 5 has allegedly surfaced yet again, this time passing through the Bluetooth Special Interest Group for certification. The device, labeled as "LGE LTE Mobile Phone (LG-D821)," is believed to be the Google smartphone, which is rumored to be launching on October 15th at the same time as Android KitKat.
Though the appearance at Bluetooth SIG offers little new about the phone, TechCrunch believes it to be a sign that it will be released in the next week, something which correlates with the launch date rumor.
The Nexus 5 is believed to have a display measuring 4.95 inches with a 1080p resolution, powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM. Storage options for 16GB and 32GB have been suggested, while a rear 8-megapixel camera, front 1.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a 2,300mAh battery, wireless charging, and LTE have all been claimed in a number of earlier leaks.
