Option to pay extra for faster connection, international roaming

British carrier Everything Everywhere, known as EE, has made a number of changes to the way it offers its service to customers. Monthly price plans for the 4G service have been restructured to include tiers with extra speed and more data, with the carrier also offering a prepaid 4G service to its customers for the first time.

The standard 4GEE 24-month plans start from 19 ($30) and includes unlimited texts, 1000 minutes, and 500MB of data, going up to 5GB of data and unlimited minutes for 30 ($48), with the monthly price varying from handset to handset. The 4GEE Extra plans all offer unlimited calls and texts, and start from 27 ($4) for 4GB and rising to 75 ($120) for 50GB, with all Extra plans allowing for faster connection speeds above the limited 30Mbps on the normal plan, unlimited roaming calls and texts in 30 countries.

Two data-only plans have also been introduced, extending EE's existing data-only offerings. The new contracted plans provide 20GB of 4G access per month for 36 ($57), while the 50 ($80) version offers 50GB, with both able to access the same faster connections provided in the 4GEE Extra plans.

EE's pay-as-you-go plans involve users topping up their device and buying 30-day bundles. Packs of 100, 200, and 500 minutes cost 3, 5, and 10 ($5, $8, and $16) respectively, with similar packs for 400 and 3,000 texts cost 2 and 5 ($3 and $8). Data bundles start from 3 ($5) for 100MB, going up to 10GB for 30 ($48).
