Yerba Buena Center for October 22 press event

Decorations for Apple's October 22 press event are beginning to go up at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, photos show. Images on the Center's windows copy the look of the email invitation sent out to the press, which features a white Apple logo against a backdrop of multicolored leaves. So far, no photos of any indoor decorations have emerged.

The event is expected to concentrate primarily on a fifth-generation 9.7-inch iPad and a second-gen iPad mini. New Macs should also be announced, however, along with a release date for OS X Mavericks. Apple could also have other surprises in store, like updates to the Apple TV and the iPod lineup.
