Latest Evernote includes home screen customization, map notes

The latest update of Evernote's mobile app for iOS and Android has been released, offering new features and improvements. Evernote is a productivity organizer that lets users sync notes, to-do lists and photos across devices, as well as share notes through social media tools. Version 7.1 on iOS features the addition of displaying notes on map, as well as the ability to now customize the home screen layout.

Users can now compile saved searches by allocating a search result to the Saved Search list, and saved searches can be eliminated by gesturing a left swipe. The updated version for Android includes Evernote Market, which consists of a curated collection of productivity-related products. Evernote for both platforms also includes bug fixes and general running improvements. Available in a free version as well as a premium paid subscription, Evernote can be downloaded from iTunes, Google Play and Evernote's website.

QuickLicense 7.0 offers new protection and licensing features for Mac and Windows

Excel Software is now shipping its latest version of QuickLicense, which features enhancements to customer assistance activation and licensing. A tool for OS X and Windows platforms, QuickLicense prevents software piracy, and allows users to manage any software license.

QuickLicense 7.0 includes a Lookup button on the Activation dialog, which enables retrieval of recently purchased or forgotten serial numbers online. Trial license software will present a status dialog upon launch, to display time remaining in the trial and integrate a purchasing option for a full license.

Additional new features include a silent Auto Upgrade feature for stored product licenses, the inclusion of Plugin protections for developers, and new commands for cloning and organizing records. QuickLicense 7 is available for $595 for the Standard edition, and $995 for the Pro edition.
