Ematic releases Genesis Prime XL tablet, runs Android

A producer of "value" tablets, Ematic, has launched the Genesis Prime XL, an Android-powered 10-inch tablet. Utilizing the Google Play store, users can access Android apps, books, movies, music and more. The Genesis Prime XL has built-in Wi-Fi, supports 1080p HD videos and features 4GB of internal storage along with 5GB of cloud storage. Available for $130, the Genesis Prime XL can be purchased at various online retailers, such as Amazon.

Pyle's new waterproof MP3/WMA player holds IPX-8 waterproof rating

Pyle Audio, manufacturers of outdoor recreational sports gear and audio equipment, has introduced its new IPX-8 rated Waterproof MP3 Player/FM Radio. Including a pedometer, stop watch and swim fitness modes, the Waterproof MP3 Player/FM Radio is suitable for measuring workouts in the pool. Its 4GB of internal storage can store over 1,000 songs in either MP3 or WMA formats, and its soft touch buttons allow for easy control of volume, skip and play/pause functions. The player's earphones are also waterproof, with silicone material that wraps around the ear. Available for $140, the Waterproof MP3/FM Radio can be purchased in black, blue and green at Pyle Audio's site.
