iPad Air availability spreads to more countries
Following earlier launches in Australia and Asia, the Apple iPad Air has gone on sale in the UK and Europe, as well in the US online store, as it moves to launch in 42 countries by the end of today. The new tablet has been released in Apple retail stores across Europe, some of which have opened earlier than normal in order to sell the iPad Air to waiting customers.
Presently, the Apple website shows all variants of the iPad Air as dispatching within 24 hours, for both Wi-Fi and cellular models. In the US online store, all versions of the tablet are listed as "available to ship" with an expected delivery date of November the 4th. US retail stores will be offering the tablet when they open later today, though Apple has allowed some stores to retain a number of the iPads for "Personal Pickup" due to expected low stocks.
The iPad mini with Retina display also makes an appearance in the online stores, though listed as "Coming later in November" and as "Currently unavailable."
