New system can interface with Hoboware software for iOS, Android monitoring

Data and energy consumption logging company Onset today announced the Hobo kWh Monitoring Kit, a low-cost, portable system for measuring and recording energy consumption in buildings. The new kit, which bundles a matchbox-sized Hobo State data logger with Continental Control System's kWh and current sensors, gives users a simple and cost-effective way to log building electric use at a fraction of the cost of meter-based solutions.

The kit provides rapid deployment and high accuracy measurements, and can be used in any size installation. Features of the system include flexibility to log up to 500,000 single or three-phase measurements running 240 to 480 volts, a LCD display to enable viewing of latest kWh readings, and the easy addition of the sold-seperately Hoboware Pro software for easy logger set-up, scaling of kWh measurement data, and data display on mobile devices including Android and iOS.

The Hobo kWh Kit is available immediately from Onset. Pricing starts at $349.
